Imagine the world of changes in the last 100 years. Things that used to take days or weeks, or months now happen with the flip of a switch or the click of a mouse. But throughout the years two things have remained constant, young children need nurturing environments and caring adults in order to thrive, and in Dallas thousands depend on ChildCareGroup for that support. Our services are critically important to the well-being of our entire community and the need is greater now than ever before.
ChildCareGroup provides the highest quality early childhood education for thousands of needy children and their families. We help more than 10,000 low-income parents find care for their children so that they can work to support them. We train thousands of child care providers, giving them the skills they need to care for and educate the children they serve. And, we advocate for the rights and needs of millions of children across the country. But our work is far from finished.
The number of children and families who need our services far exceeds our current funding. Affordable, high quality child care is still inaccessible to the majority of families in need; but changing that fact is not beyond the realm of possibility. One hundred years ago, a small group of Dallas citizens were serving less than 100 children. They never dreamed that their efforts would become the ChildCareGroup of today.
