Since 2004, through generous funds from United Way and Citi and more recently through Citi Community Development funds, ChildCareGroup has provided exemplary business training for directors of family child care homes and child care centers.
Through a proven small business training curriculum, we have equipped more than 450 participants with improved skills to enhance and grow their businesses. Historically, participants have improved their business knowledge by approximately 30%. All participants are required to submit a business plan to complete the course. The course instructor evaluates and provides feedback to participants.
What is included in the training?
Participants attend seven (4-hour) training sessions, and begin with a pre-test so the instructor can tailor the content to their specific needs. A sampling of course topics include: Writing a Business Plan, Pricing and Profitability, Financial Management, Banking for Small Business, Marketing and Advertising, Writing a Parent Handbook, and Evaluating the Competitive Marketplace.
